Glossary
APR
Yearly interest generated without any compounding.
APY (Annual Percentage Yield)
Real rate of return earned on an investment, taking into account the effect of compounding interest. Compounding interest is calculated periodically and the amount is immediately added to the balance.
With r being the period rate and n the number of compounding periods, we can obtain the APY through this formula:
ART (Average Receiving Time)
Average time during which a user has kept all his GRAIL holdings in his wallet, calculated through this formula.
DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization)
Governance mechanism where decisions are made by votes, and and where voting rights are most of the time materialized by a governance token (GRAIL in our case).
FM (Fee Manager)
The FeeManager contract is the one that will receive all the deposit fees from the farm, and the part of the swap fees that isn't allocated to the LPs. It's in charge of allocating its funds to the various recipients (dividends, DAO treasury, team, SAFU funds...).
LP token
Liquidity providers contribute to the liquidity pools by depositing assets, and receive in exchange a new token representing the share they own of that pool. This token is called a Liquidity Provider (LP) token.
POL (Project-Owned Liquidity)
Metrics measuring the amount of LP the Excalibur DAO treasury owns.
TVL (Total Value Locked)
This metric represents the sum of all assets deposited in the Excalibur protocol earning EXC or GRAIL rewards.
